Junrey Balawing avunja rekodi ya kuwa mfupi zaidi duniani!

Junrey Balawing raia wa Ufilipino ametangazwa rasmi kuwa mtu mfupi kuliko wote dunia kwa kuvunja rekodi iliyokuwa ikishikliwa na Khagendra Thapa Magar kutoka Nepal.Junrey ambaye ametimiza miaka 18 hivi karibuni tarehe 11 june ana urefu wa inchi 23.6 sawa na sentimeta 59.93 huku akiwa na uzito wa kilogramu 5,tofauti na Thapa Magar ambaye ana urefu wa 26.4 sentimeta.Kinachofurahisha zaidi ni kwamba amezaliwa tarehe ya uhuru wa nchi yake hivyo inaongeza furaha zaidi kijijini kwao

  At birth, Junrey was the size of a 1-litre coke bottle. His mother only started to suspect something was not right when Junrey was four years old as his friends began to outgrow him. The family sought advice and he was given medication to strengthen his bones, but these made no difference.

  According to his parents, before Junrey was born, his family was poor and down on their luck. But after his birth, they saw a reversal of fortune, with Junrey’s father Reynaldo, 37, getting a job that enabled him to look after his family.  "Junrey is our lucky charm," Reynaldo says.

   Junrey loves watching TV with war films being his favourite viewing also his favourite food is pork but he can eat about two (normal size) fingers' worth at a meal, with a small helping of rice.His name is a combination of June, for his birthday, and his father's name, Reynaldo. It also means "Little King", as in junior and Rey, which is Spanish for king.

  Junrey has to stay at home with his mum Concepcion, while his sisters Jaycel (13), Jeanritch (6) and 11-year-old brother Jay-art go to school. Concepcion (35) says: "He needs my care every minute of every day. Junrey can only walk with some help and he can't stand for too long because he's in too much pain.

MA of Mass Communication launched during SJMC week.

 In celebrating its 50^th  anniversary of University of Dar es Salaam through its different colleges has been conducting  events  which aim to expose  its different activities  also to show the success which have achieved for the whole half  century. From Monday 20th of June has been a turn for School of Journalism and Mass communication. The occasion was held at SJMC ground and was honored by the Vice councilor, Prof Rwekaza Mukandala involved the launching of the masters of mass communication programme, which will be offered by University of Dar es Salaam under School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

   While presenting the opening speech, Dr Bernadette Killian the Dean of SJMC was able mention problems like accommodation to the students, little number of staff compares to the students’ population also few of resources in Mlimani media.At the same time Prof Mukandala got an opportunity to look over the activities which are done by Mlimani media.

  However the occasion was attended by the former Dean of Tanzania School of Journalism(TSJ) & Institute of Journalism and Mass Communication (IJMC) ,former students,media people and other invited guest.At the end the event was followed by Sports Bonanza which includes table tennis, chicken race, dancing and rope pulling.

HEKAHEKA ZA UCHAGUZI DARUSO UDSM!!

    Awamu nyingine ya uchaguzi wa serikali ya wanafunzi ya chuo kikuu cha Dar es Salaam (DARUSO UDSM) imeanza kwa kasi kwa wagombea kunadi sera katika kampeni zilizoanza tokea jumapili tarehe 12 Juni,baada ya kutangazwa majina ya wagombea waliopitishwa tume ya uchaguzi ya chuo kikuu.

   Wagombea waliopitishwa kwa upande wa urais ni Shukuru Mlwafu,Saimon Kilawa na Richard Damas,na kwa nafasi ya makamu wa rais ni Angelista Noshan na Gift Msowoya

Mchakato huo ni mzito hivyo ni ngumu sana kutabiri mshindi  ni nani kwani wagombea wote wameonekana kuugwa mkono kwa kiasi kikubwa. “Mchuano ni mkali sana hivyo ni ngumu kusema nani atakuwa Rais wetu,kazi hiyo tumeuwashia umma wa UDSM” anasema Mwanaharati mkongwe Rich.

  Kama ilivyo kawaida ya siasa hali ya kuchafuana imekuwa ikijitokeza kwani  baadhi ya wagombea wamekuwa wakishutumiwa kuwa makada wa CCM ingawa haijathibitishwa.Kwa upande wengine kivutio kikubwa kimejitokeza kwa upande wa nafasi ya makamu wa rais kwani wagombea wote wanamvuto wa sura hivyo watu wamekuwa  wakihoji  kama mvuto ni moja ya kigezo kilichotumika kuwapitisha katika mchujo uliofanyika.

U.S DIVER ON A MISSION TO RETRIEVE OSAMA'S BODY!!

Bill Warren, 59, an eccentric California-based diver has announced a rather ambitious plan to conduct an underwater mission to recover the body of Osama Bin Laden.Warren, who has successfully discovered some 150 shipwrecks, says he'll spend at least two weeks scouring the floor of the North Arabian Sea for bin Laden's body, at a cost of $11,000 a day.

Since President Obama won't release photos of bin Laden's corpse, Warren says, he's taking it upon himself to photograph the body and get DNA samples to share with the world.Warren is currently gathering resources to scour the North Arabian sea bed which has an estimated surface area of four million square kilometers.

Warren was reported as saying that he wants to find proof that the Al-Qaeda leader is dead, and that he was really buried at sea from the USS Carl Vinson warship. "I'm doing it because I am a patriotic American who wants to know the truth. I do it for the world".



 Even though the remains have been at the bottom of the sea since May 2, they would still be well preserved "in a sealed Navy burial bag, zipped up, white canvas, rubber-lined inside, 200 lbs. of lead weight," Warren says.

The Obama administration had earlier announced that Bin Laden was killed in a special assault operation carried out by the US Navy Seals at Abbottabad in Pakistan. US authorities later claimed that after the May 2 operation, Laden's body was buried at sea to avoid construction of a terrorist shrine.Bill Warren's announcement has come as a surprise, as many believe it is impossible to carry out such an extensive operation. Given the fact that no details of the coordinates of the corpse have been made public, many say that it will be a herculean task to locate the body.

Barring the DNA tests, Warren has also been ridiculed by many online forums for saying he hopes to take pictures and videos of the corpse once he finds it.Warren, who has been diving commercially since 1972, has embarked upon a few other famous expeditions also. He is credited to have discovered the remains of more than 200 ship wrecks under the sea and is known to be a treasure hunter.

In early 1999, Warren's company Golden Quest was involved in a dispute with a rival expedition team to find the coronation riches of King Charles 1 buried under the sea. He had earlier tried his luck on the Port Royal shipwreck in Bahamas as well.Warren had earlier tried his hand at exhuming the legendary 1705 San Francisco Xavier, although he got into a brawl with officials of the state of Oregon. Later, he accused the Oregon officials of calling him a 'grave robber', and seeing him as a pirate

Instead of hoping to come across any underwater treasures, this time Warren seems to have been driven by his Russian girlfriend, who mentioned to him that Russian Intelligence circles do not actually believe Osama is dead.
