UDPRSA 5th anniversary marked a new beginning!!

Celebration of the 5^th anniversary of University of Dar es Salaam Public Relations Student Association (UDPRSA) has marked an opening way in which all UDPRSA members and other PR professional s in the industry to communicate and interact easily on matter concerning their career, this is due to the launching of their blog and face book page.

   While speaking to members the guest of honor and the main speaker his excellence Professor Eno Akipabio encourages leaders and members to be committed and insists leaders to come up with new ideas that will strengthen their association. He further said through such association will enable them to exchange their ideas, creating networks professionals and utilize the opportunities that face them as students. Prof Akipabio went on saying the opening of blog and facebook page is great achievement especially at this era of development of social and new media.

However, on his remarks Mr Amin Antony Mgeni who was among the founders of UDPRSA said he is happy to see the association still exists and he advise leaders to take quick solution to whatever challenge encounter the association. Mr Mgeni who is currently an editor at Mlimani tv, encourages members to use the blog in writing articles and feature stories hence would enable them to become good PR’s.

“This 5^th anniversary is a challenge to me and my cabinet, we ensure that UDPRSA will still move on, but without your cooperation (members), UDPRSA won’t succeed” said the new President of UDPRSA, Mr Kisoma Mussa. He added that up to this time they succeed to create a network with association like University of Dar es Salaam Markerting Association (DUMA), Saut Student Public Relations Association (SSPRA) and currently they are in discussion with Public Relations Association of Tanzania to see on how they can work together.

The 5^th anniversary celebration was held on 10^th November at School Journalism and Mass Communication and was attended by the Director of Publicity at DUMA, Mr Enock Ngulwa, media people and other alumni of SJMC.
